Rue Traversette
In the Languedoc, between the Mediterranean and the Espinouse mountains Stéphane Strobl and his small team spend their time elaborating imaginative condiments from the fantastic local produce that is all around them. Their philosophy is to create foods that they would be proud to serve their friends. The products marry up fruits, vegetables and spices subtly and cleverly. We have chosen three gift sets for you. Try organic lemons and hibiscus flowers with spices, preserved in virgin olive oil (use in tagines, fish dishes, white meat and moules marinieres), and organic mini oranges with spices (gives a new twist to Canard à l'orange); a set of three mustards, three citrus fruits, green aniseed and carrot and cumin, or a set of three clever spreads for bruschetta: kidney bean with a note of star aniseed, chickpea with wine and turmeric, red lentil, orange and sichuan pepper, all three made with the finest olive oil.
