We work with a handful of small family-run companies that make The French House metal pendant lights. The people we work with have all the skills to spin brass, copper, steel or even zinc over a variety of moulds. The metal has to be heated repeatedly so that it can be manually spun. Unlike large-scale industrial production where shapes are punched out by machines, this process is labour-intensive, but produces higher quality stronger shapes. There are not that many small metal workshops left and we are glad we can work with them to make smaller runs of our exclusive designs.
Here you can see the process of our new raw brass lights being made.
